- Tori Bowie (USA) stunned a loaded field to win the Women’s 200m in a world-leading 22.18 – and in lane one! She’ll be racing the 100m in NYC.
- LaShawn Merritt (USA) ran a world lead-equaling 43.97 in the 400m, taking second place by mere centimeters, and will be back at the adidas Grand Prix Men’s 400m.
- Shannon Rowbury (USA) set an American Best for 2 MIles and will be racing over 1500m, where she’ll face stiff competition from 2011 World Champion Jenny Simpson, who set a personal best of 3:58.28, making her the third-fastest American in history. Also in the race will be World 800m bronze medalist Brenda Martinez (USA).
- The versatile Christian Taylor (USA), took second in the Men’s Triple Jump in an excellent 17.42m/57’2.0”, two weeks after running the third leg on Team USA’s gold medal-winning 4x400m at the IAAF World Relays in the Bahamas. Last year, Taylor was runner-up in the Triple Jump and this year will contest the Long Jump. And did we mention that he’s the reigning Olympic Champion in the Triple Jump?
