Prep stars from New Jersey, California Complete Fields for Jim Ryun High School Dream Mile

The final fields for the Boys' and Girls' Jim Ryun High School Dream Mile have been announced and among the recent additions are three recent New Jersey State Champions. Jim and Joe Rosa of Plainsboro, New Jersey, Claudia DiSomma of Sparta New Jersey, Ajee Wilson of Neptune, New Jersey, and Alli Billmeyer of San Diego, California. Jim Rosa recently broke the New Jersey State Meet Record with his win in the 1600m, while twin brother Joe was runner up in the New Jersey State Meet 3200m. DiSomma, a freshman, won the New Jersey State title at 1600m, before running the second leg on her team's runner-up 4x400m Relay, while sophomore Ajee Wilson won the state title in the 800m in a nation-leading time of 2:04.94. Also last weekend, Billmeyer finished second over 1600m at the California State Meet in very impressive time of 4:47.79. Don't Forget: It All Starts at 3PM

In case you haven't heard, in order to accommodate the in-depth fields of more than 200 athletes from across the globe, the starting time of the meet has been pushed up to 3PM this Saturday, June 12. The meet will still conclude shortly after 6:30PM as previously scheduled.

The Inside Track by Jocelyn Robiot

adidas International executive Jocelyn Robiot discusses the importance of developing the sport’s future stars in today’s “The Inside Track” guest column. “The Inside Track” is a six-part guest columnist series that will serve as a prelude to the adidas Grand Prix on Saturday, June 12, at Icahn Stadium in New York City.

Robiot, who is the Vice President Global Sports Marketing for adidas International, highlights the company’s commitment to its range of stars, from established athletes such as Veronica Campbell-Brown and Jessica Ennis to developing runners Yohan Blake and Nickel Ashmeade: “Our commitment doesn’t stop with the names everyone knows. Another pillar of the adidas strategy is to assist in the development of young talent. Tentative Schedule Now Available and Earlier Start Time

A tentative schedule for the 2010 adidas Grand Prix is now available. Click here to download the schedule. Please be aware there may be changes made to the schedule between now and the day of the meet. Also, don't forget that the adidas Grand Prix will now begin at 3PM on Saturday, June 12 -- the start of the meet has been pushed up another 30 minutes to help us showcase the more than 30 individual Olympic and World Champions confirmed. adidas Grand Prix Announces Jetblue Airways As Official Airline

ADIDAS GRAND PRIX ANNOUNCES JETBLUE AIRWAYS AS OFFICIAL AIRLINE

Limited Number of Tickets Available Wednesday for
New York Diamond League Event

NEW YORK (June 1, 2010) — The adidas Grand Prix, the nation's premier outdoor track & field invitational meet, today announced that JetBlue Airways has signed on to serve as the Official Airline. The partnership presents an opportunity for JetBlue to introduce its award-winning JetBlue experience and superior customer service to the international event's diverse spectator base.

With one of the most impressive lineups of global stars ever assembled in the United States, the adidas Grand Prix promises to be one of the most exciting events of the summer. So far tickets have been purchased by thousands of spectators traveling from 36 states and 14 countries. The event is expected to sell out.

"JetBlue is proud to be a growing part of the Caribbean community," said Robin Hayes, Chief Commercial Officer of New York-based JetBlue Airways. "We are happy to support the event and its participants and give them a comfortable ride to New York complete with the very needed extra legroom, unlimited free snacks and drinks, free entertainment on personal seatback TVs and the friendliest service in the skies, so they can arrive rested and ready to perform at their best."

Additionally, JetBlue will assist with air travel for the more than 75 Olympians, including at least 30 Olympic and World champions, hailing from 25 countries, who are expected to compete. Jamaican sprint sensation Veronica Campbell-Brown, Dominican Republic's Olympic champion Felix Sanchez and American stars Allyson Felix and Bernard Lagat are among the top athletes announced for the meet.

"We are excited to have this opportunity to partner with JetBlue Airways," said Mark Wetmore, meet director for the adidas Grand Prix. "We have found that when bringing athletes to the New York area, JetBlue's reach and service makes them the preferred choice of our world-class athletes and fan base."

A limited number of tickets will be released at noon on Wednesday, June 2, for the adidas Grand Prix. They will be available at www.adidasgrandprix.com or by calling 1-877-TIX-TRAC. The New York City event, which will be on Sunday, June 12, at Icahn Stadium, is the fifth stop on the inaugural 14-meet, international IAAF Diamond League circuit.

In addition to regularly attracting many of the sport's biggest stars, the adidas Grand Prix also features the Jim Ryun High School Dream Mile for top high school athletes and the NYC Mayor's Cup Fastest Kids competition for youth in the tristate area.
