| US Open winners in Boston  If you were at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, or were watching ESPN2 yesterday, you saw some top track action at the inaugural U.S. Open, including victories by Silas Kiplagat over Bernard Lagat in the Men's Mile, Ethiopia's Fantu Magiso in the Women's 800m and Israeli record-holder Jillian Schwartz in the Women's Pole Vault. All three have now arrived in Boston to get ready for Saturday's New Balance Indoor Grand Prix. It's the first time in Boston for Kiplagat, the World Championship silver medalist, so he probably doesn't realize how lucky he is not to be standing in a Copley Square snow bank this time of year.
